Its been 8 years since we last did Farm Shop and Deli show. Bert came across a picture of Fred and himself at the last one we did back in 2018. It hit home how much the business had changed since then.

In 2018 we were trying to scale up a uniquely challenging business with no experience in food manufacturing just a resourceful stubborn attitude to use what was around us to create unique products.
Back then the whole business would have ground to a halt for a big trade show, there was just one other part-time employee at the time and our mum helping out. Now we have 3 employees back at the kitchen bottling a big order of cordial and for the last day Bert was back in the office with a long list of operational tasks while Archie, Jeremy and Ruby ran the stand doing a great job connecting with more new customers.
Yeah your probably thinking eight years is a long time. Obviously it is but when your building a brand with authenticity picking heritage fruits, using seasonal local surplus and using wild plants it takes a long time to build if your going to stick to your ethos and not just chase growth at the expense of everything you believe in.
